BASED IN WESTCHESTER County, New York, Renn Byers, Landscape Architect, P.C., provides landscape architectural design services for residential and estate commissions throughout the northeast. Responding to the client's program and vision, the technical and aesthetic challenges presented by the natural environment, and the spatial interrelationships between buildings and site, our firm creates cohesive and artful landscape compositions with keen attention to detail. We are committed to an exceptionally high level of personal service to every client, from project inception to the maintenance phases of mature landscapes.
Commissions are frequently designed in collaboration with architects to ensure that building construction and alterations are integrated with the site design. Our work balances the inherent natural characteristics of the site with the architectural context of its buildings. Built forms, including site structures, pools, walls, terraces and drives, are integrated with land and planted forms to create carefully proportioned design solutions that possess an ageless, understated elegance.
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES services generally include the preparation of a Master Site Plan defining the organization of primary site components such as driveways, courtyards, terraces, pergolas, swimming pools, ponds and water features, tennis courts, walkways, gardens, children’s play areas, fencing, retaining walls, landscape grading, and planting. Once portions of the Master Plan are selected for implementation, services include the preparation of design developmentdrawings, working drawings and specifications for construction, as well as detailed planting and exterior lighting plans. Review of the site work during the construction phase is conducted intensively to ensure follow through with the design intent.
Our client relationships typically extend well past initial construction phases so that as the landscape matures and the client's needs evolve, maintenance programs and desired changes to the grounds can be successfully implemented.
